Artist Kamyar Bamdad Arrested by Iranian Security Forces After Posting About Ebrahim Raisi’s Death

An artist from Gilan province identified as Kamyar Bamdad has been arrested by security forces due to the publication of a story regarding the death of Ebrahim Raisi. This artist had also been arrested during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" (Woman, Life, Freedom) movement.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, Gilan's Intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps arrested Kamyar Bamdad and transferred him to an unknown location.

According to informed sources, this artist was arrested due to the publication of a story on the social media platform Instagram about the death of Ebrahim Raisi and his associates.

As of the time of this report, there is no precise information regarding the artist’s condition or current whereabouts.

It is notable that Kamyar Bamdad was also previously arrested by the security agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” movement.
