Iranian Authorities Arrest Baloch Singer, Asef Thouri In Khash city

A Baloch artist from Khash city, Sistan-Baluchistan province named AsefThouri was arrested by Iranian government agencies.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, On Monday, July 1, 2024, Iranian government forces in Khash apprehended Baloch singer Asef Thouri on Saadi Street and subsequently transferred him to an undisclosed location.

Informed sources indicate that, the arrest of this Baloch singer was conducted without a judicial warrant and involved the use of force.

To date, there has been no definitive information regarding the reasons for his arrest, the specific charges against him, or his current status and whereabouts.
