Kurdish Kolbar Injured by Direct Fire from Iranian Border Guards

A young Kolbar from Marivan, Kurdistan (Sanandaj) province, identified as Yasin Rastkhaneh, was seriously injured by direct fire from the border regiment forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran at one of the border points in the city.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, border regiment forces stationed at the "Do Palureh" border in the district of Marivan opened fire on a group of Kolbars (porters). As a result of this shooting, Yasin Rastkhaneh, a 22-year-old resident of Do Palureh village, was seriously injured.

Hengaw sources report that Yasin Rastkhaneh sustained injuries to his leg and was taken to BuAli Sina Hospital in Marivan for treatment.
