Kurdish Kolbar Injured by Direct Fire from Iranian Border Forces

A Kolbar named Rezgar Khalqani from Sardasht was severely injured by direct fire from the Iranian border guards while carrying goods along the Hengazhal border in Baneh, Kurdistan (Sanandaj) Province.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, Rezgar Khalqani, a Kolbar from Sardasht County, was seriously injured as a result of direct gunfire from the border guards stationed at the Hengazhal border in Baneh towards a group of Kolbars.

This injured Kolbar, who is married and the father of one child, has been transferred to medical facilities for treatment.
