Border forces kill kolbar Madeh Kermani near Marivan

Iranian Border Regiment forces shot dead Kurdish kolbar Madeh Kermani near the Bashmaq border crossing in Marivan. His body was returned to his family only after they spent three days without any information about his fate.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Kermani was fatally shot by Iranian Border Regiment forces on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, while working as a kolbar at the Bashmaq border near Marivan.
Informed sources told Hengaw that Kermani was shot in the head. Following the shooting, security forces seized his body, leaving his family without any information about his fate or whereabouts for three days.
Government authorities contacted Kermani's family on Thursday, July 30, and instructed them to collect his body from Bou Ali Hospital. The family learned of his death only after receiving the call.
Madeh Kermani was married, the father of two children, originally from Kheyrabad village, and a resident of Marivan.
