Two Kurdish Kolbars Injured by Direct Gunfire from Iranian Border Guards

Two Kolbars, identified as Hamid Ahmadi from Divandarreh and Mahmoud (last name unknown) from Baneh, were severely injured by direct gunfire from the Iranian border guards in the "Sartazin" border area of Baneh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, August 18, 2024, the Iranian border guards in "Sartazin" Baneh opened fire from a very close range on a group of Kolbars, resulting in injuries to two Kolbars named Mahmoud (last name unknown), a 50-year-old from Baneh, and Hamid Ahmadi, a 38-year-old from Divandarreh.

According to an informed source, these two Kolbars were targeted with pellet guns without prior warning, and Mahmoud sustained injuries to his head and eye.
