Hamidreza Shirzadi, Arrested to Serve Prison Sentence

Hamidreza Shirzadi, a Luri-Bakhtiari man residing in Dezpart County, a part of Khuzestan province, has been arrested to serve his one-year prison sentence and transferred to Ramhormoz Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, Hamidreza Shirzadi, a 22-year-old resident of the village of "Mozarem" in Dezpart County, Khuzestan, was summoned to the Enforcement Office in Izeh County, where he was arrested and transferred to Ramhormoz Central Prison to serve his one-year sentence.
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Hamidreza Shirzadi was sentenced to one year in prison by Branch 103 of the Criminal Court 2 of Izeh, presided over by Judge Mostafa Alikhani Faradonbeh, on charges of "insulting religious sanctities," which was based on posts he had published on Instagram.
According to informed sources, another part of his case, involving the charges of "propaganda against the regime," "disruption of public order," and "insulting Khamenei," has been referred to Branch 4 of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Ahvaz.
It should be noted that Hamidreza Shirzadi was previously arrested by the Iranian security forces on September 23, 2023, and was released on bail in late February of the same year.
It is also worth mentioning that Hamidreza Shirzadi had also been arrested in late September 2022 during the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement, but was eventually pardoned, and his case was closed.
