Iranian Border Guards Injured Two Kurdish Kolbars at the Baneh Border

Two kolbars from Bukan, identified as Kamal Mahmoudi and Shokrollah (last name unknown), were wounded by direct fire from the Iranian border guards in the mountainous border region of Baneh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, September 23, 2024, border guards stationed at the "Hangezhal" border of Baneh opened fire on a group of kolbars, wounding at least two kolbars from Bukan, namely 40-year-old Kamal Mahmoudi and 42-year-old Shokrollah.

According to informed sources, the two kolbars have been transferred to medical facilities in Baneh for treatment.
