Kurdish Kolbar dies after days of suffering from fall in Iran’s Border mountains

Siamand Hasanpour, a Kurdish Kolbar (porter) from Sardasht passed away after several days of hospitalization in Urmia.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Siamand Hasanpour, a 37-year-old Kolbar from the village of "Aspameza" in Sardasht, died in a hospital in Urmia.
A source stated that last week, while attempting to escape border guards of Iran in the Qandil border region, Hasanpour fell from a height and suffered a severe brain injury. He had been in a coma since the incident.
It is worth noting that Siamand Hasanpour was married and the father of two children.
