Golshan: Death and injury of two Baloch fuel carriers due to landmine explosion

A landmine planted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the border area of Mak Sukhteh in Golshan County, Sistan- Baluchistan Province, caused the death of a Baloch Sukhtbar (fuel carrier) named Mohammad (Moradbakhsh) Gomshadzahi and injured another whose identity is under investigation.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, January 26, 2025, Mohammad Gomshadzahi, 32, a resident of Jalegh, Golshan County, and father of three children, was critically injured in the Mak Sukhteh border area due to the landmine explosion. He succumbed to his injuries after being transferred to Razi Hospital in Saravan.
The two fuel carriers were injured at 3:00 a.m. while passing through Siyad village in Golshan County. Due to the absence of warning signs in the mined area, they drove over the landmine, resulting in severe injuries. Mr. Gomshadzahi later passed away at Razi Hospital in Saravan due to the severity of his injuries.
