Two Baloch men arrested by security forces

Security forces have arrested two Baloch men, Abed Dahwari, a blogger and Sunni religious activist, and Emam Bakhsh Balouchi, in separate incidents in Sib & Soran and Nikshahr.

According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, Abed Dahwari, a 25-year-old resident of Soran (Sib & Soran County), was arrested by IRGC Intelligence after being summoned to court. He was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location. Haalvsh news outlet has reported that Dahwari had previously been targeted multiple times by security forces due to his religious and media-related activities.

On the same day, in Nikshahr, Emam Bakhsh Balouchi, a 35-year-old resident, was arrested at his home by Intelligence Department forces without an arrest warrant.

The families of both detainees have sought information about their whereabouts and condition, but authorities have refused to provide any response.

As of this report, officials have not disclosed any formal charges, the detainees’ locations, or the reasons for their arrests.
