Baloch cleric Abdolbasir Shahouzehi arrested by security forces in Delgan

Abdolbasir Shahouzehi, a Baloch cleric from Delgan County, Sistan-Baluchestan Province, has been arrested by security forces after being summoned to the local court.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, February 9, 2025, 50-year-old Shahouzehi, a cleric from Zahedan and the Friday prayer leader of Chah-Ali village in Delgan County, was taken into custody.

His arrest occurred at the Iranshahr court, where he had appeared voluntarily following a summons. Security forces detained him at the courthouse and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

Despite repeated efforts, no information has been made available regarding his whereabouts or condition.
