Five protesters arrested in Dehdasht identified

During the third consecutive night of public protests in Dehdasht, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, at least five Lor protesters, including one woman, were arrested by Iranian security forces and taken to an undisclosed location. Among those detained is Atefeh Tahernia, who had previously been arrested during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” (Woman, Life, Freedom) movement.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place late on the night of Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The detainees have been identified as Atefeh Tahernia, Amirhossein Jafari, Kamran Bozari, Jaber Foroughi, and Pouria Barati.
Reports also indicate that another woman and three men were detained, though their identities remain under investigation.
According to informed sources, these people were arrested at Dehdasht’s central square by IRGC Intelligence forces. Following their arrest, they were transferred to an unknown location, and no information is available regarding their whereabouts or condition.
During the protests, protesters chanted slogans such as: “This year is the year of blood; Seyed Ali will be overthrown!”, “Death to the Islamic Republic!”, and “Death to the dictator!”.
