Soleiman Qadergalvan, brother of slain Kurdish protester, arrested by Intelligence Forces in Oshnavieh

Soleiman Qadergalvan, the brother of Abdolsalam Qadergalvan—one of the victims of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” (Woman, Life, Freedom) movement in Oshnavieh (Shno)—has been arrested by agents of the Iran's Intelligence Department.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Soleiman Qadergalvan, a member of the justice-seeking families in Oshnavieh, was detained on Thursday, March 27, 2025, after being summoned to the Intelligence office in the city.
As of the time of this report, no clear information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current whereabouts.
Soleiman’s brother, Abdolsalam Qadergalvan, was shot by government forces on September 21, 2022, during the early days of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” protests. He later succumbed to his injuries on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Khomeini Hospital in Urmia.
