Bukan: Father of Awat Qaderpour, killed during Woman, Life, Freedom movement, arrested — fate unknown

Karim Qaderpour, the father of Awat Qaderpour—one of the victims of the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom) movement—was arrested nine days ago by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. His fate and current whereabouts remain unknown.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Karim Qaderpour, 46, a resident of Bukan, was detained by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
No information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest, any charges filed, or his place of detention. Qaderpour is known as a bereaved father seeking justice for his son.
Awat Qaderpour was shot and critically wounded by forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Friday, November 18, 2022, while sitting in his car in the village of Nachit near Bukan during the nationwide uprising led by the Woman, Life, Freedom movement.
He died twelve days later at Arefian Hospital in Urmia due to the severity of his injuries.
