RGC Intelligence arrests two Kurdish men in Amol

Two Kurds from Marivan, identified as Rebwar Arzhangi and Hamid Saeedi, have been arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence in the city of Amol, Mazandaran province. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the two were arrested on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Amol. Rebwar Arzhangi is originally from Ney village, and Hamid Saeedi is from the city of Marivan.

A source close to the families told Hengaw: “They were able to make a brief phone call about 24 hours after their arrest, informing their families that they were in IRGC Intelligence custody in Amol. Since then, there has been no further contact or information.”

As of the time of this report, there is no confirmed information regarding the reasons for their arrest, the charges brought against them, or their current location. All efforts by their families to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.
