Kurdish media activist Nariman Randani re-arrested by Intelligence in Saqqez

Nariman Randani, a Kurdish media and civil activist from Saqqez, has been arrested once again by intelligence forces, just weeks after being temporarily released.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 35-year-old Nariman Randani was arrested by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence at his shop and taken to an undisclosed location.
At the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons behind his arrest, the charges filed against him, or his current whereabouts.
Randani had previously been released on March 5, 2025, after spending 33 days in detention at the Sanandaj Intelligence Department and Saqqez Central Prison. He was released on bail set at 600 million tomans, pending further legal proceedings.
He and his brother, Milad Randani, were previously transferred to the Shahramfar Detention Center, affiliated with the IRGC Intelligence Division in Sanandaj, following their initial arrest.
Nariman Randani was first detained on January 22, 2025, by security forces in Saqqez.
