Kolbar Mohammad Tohidpanah killed by border forces near Baneh

Mohammad Tohidpanah, a Kurdish kolbar from Saqqez, was killed after Iranian Border Regiment forces opened fire while he was carrying goods in the Hengezhal border area of Baneh.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Border Regiment forces opened fire on a group of kolbars in the Hengezhal border area without prior warning early Monday, August 10, 2026.

Tohidpanah, 25, from the village of Vazmaleh in the Sarshiv district of Saqqez, was killed at the scene.

Informed sources told Hengaw that the forces fired at Tohidpanah without issuing any warning.
