Eight prisoners, including one woman, executed in multiple Iranian prisons

Iranian authorities executed eight prisoners, including one woman, in recent days in the prisons of Arak, Andimeshk, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Nahavand, and Bandar Abbas. Those executed were identified as Mehran Hosseinpanah, Hamid Naderi, Habib Namazi, Beyranvand, Vali Karam Dastar, Ehsan Amini, Zahra Khan-Babaei, and Younes Jahandideh. All had been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder” or “drug-related offences” by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, authorities carried out the execution of Hosseinpanah in Arak Central Prison at dawn on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Sources reported that he had previously been arrested on “drug-related charges.”
On the same day, Andimeshk Prison in Khuzestan Province executed Naderi, a Lor man convicted of “premeditated murder,” while Karaj Central Prison also executed Namazi on the same charge.
In Qom Central Prison, authorities executed Beyranvand, a Kurdish prisoner sentenced to death on “drug-related charges.”
Information received by Hengaw shows that Amini, a Turk prisoner from Ardabil, was executed in Tabriz Central Prison after six years of imprisonment on “drug-related charges.” On that same day, Dastar, a resident of Nahavand, was executed in the city’s prison after being convicted of “premeditated murder.”
Earlier, authorities executed two prisoners in Bandar Abbas Central Prison, including a woman, Zahra Khan-Babaei, and a man, Jahandideh, at dawn on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Both had been arrested and sentenced to death on “drug-related charges.”
These executions have not been reported by state-run media or outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
