Six Kurds arrested by security forces in Naghadeh

Six Kurdish men from Naghadeh— identified as Kaveh Qaderi, Amin Bashouki, Rahman Khalkhali, Farhad Kanada, Saman Seyed Mahmoudian, and Saman Kakemami— have been arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, Saman Seyed Mahmoudian (30) and Saman Kakemami (31) were forcibly arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department in the city of Naghadeh.
Earlier, on Tuesday, June 24, the same forces arrested four other Kurdish men: Amin Bashouki, Rahman Khalkhali, Farhad Kanada, and Kaveh Qaderi.
A local source told Hengaw that Saman Kakemami, a sociology graduate, also suffers from diabetes, raising additional concerns about his health in detention.
Families have made repeated inquiries but remain in the dark about the detainees’ whereabouts and well-being. The reasons for the arrests and the charges against them remain unknown.
