Five Baloch workers arrested in Tehran, fate remains unclear

Sanaollah Qanbarzehi, Esmail Qanbarzehi, Adel Qanbarzehi, Moslem Qanbarzehi, and Hamed Qanbarzehi—five Baloch men from Zahedan—were arrested by security forces in Tehran last week. Their fate and current whereabouts remain unclear.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the five men, originally from the villages of Chah-Zard and Shurek in the Zahedan region, have been held incommunicado for the past eight days. No official information has been provided regarding their condition or legal status.
As reported by Haalvsh, the men had been working at a restaurant in Tehran for an extended period to support their families financially.
They were detained on Friday, June 20, 2025, in the Rah-Ahan (railway) district of Tehran by plainclothes security agents.
Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrest, any charges filed against them, or their current place of detention.
