Kurdish man Aryan Mashaikh arrested by security forces; whereabouts unknown

Aryan Mashaikh, a Kurdish man from Piranshahr, has been detained by security forces, and four days later, there is still no information regarding his fate or whereabouts.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mashaikh — a resident of Gerd-e Rahmat village in the Piranshahr region — was arrested on Thursday, June 19, 2025, by agents of the security forces.

Sources close to the case confirmed that the arrest was conducted without an arrest warrant, and that authorities have provided no explanation for his detention.

No information has been released regarding the charges, location of detention, or current condition of Aryan Mashaikh.
