Whereabouts of Kurdish man Amir Amjadi unknown following arrest in Marivan

Amir Amjadi, a 21-year-old Kurdish resident of Marivan in Kurdistan (Sanandaj) Province, has been held incommunicado for six days following his arrest by Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence. No information is currently available regarding his condition or whereabouts.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Amjadi was arrested at his home on Friday, July 18, 2025, by intelligence agents without the presentation of a court warrant. He was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.
A source close to the Amjadi family confirmed that authorities have provided no explanation for his detention and that his family remains completely in the dark about his legal status and physical well-being.
