Ongoing wave of arrests in Kurdistan: Five detained in Oshnavieh, Bukan, and Marivan

Security forces have detained at least five Kurdish men in recent days in the cities of Oshnavieh, Bukan, and Marivan. The detainees have been identified as Kaveh Khaki Nehad, Shwana Shirbigi, Jamal Hossein Nejad, Mohammad Mousazadeh, and Sirwan Kasraei.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, 50-year-old Kaveh Khaki Nehad, originally from Sufian village and residing in Oshnavieh (Shno), was detained by security forces.
On Monday, July 7, Jamal Hossein Nejad from the village of Sargiz in Oshnavieh and Shwana Shirbigi from Bukan were both arrested at their homes.
Earlier, on Wednesday, July 2, Mohammad Mousazadeh from Bukan was arrested and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Additionally, on Thursday, July 3, 22-year-old Sirwan Kasraei from Ney village near Marivan was detained by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence.
The whereabouts and conditions of these detainees remain unknown, and no information has been released regarding the charges against them.
