Iran carries out six new executions in multiple prisons

Six prisoners, Mahan Sheikhi, Shahrokh Sattari, Mohammadkarim Bastami, Ebrahim Khani, Heydar Tahmasbi and Mahmoud Ghadimi, were executed in recent days across prisons in Saveh, Ardabil, Quchan, Yasuj, Mahshahr and Isfahan.

All six had been convicted on charges including “premeditated murder” and “drug-related offences.”

Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Sheikhi was executed at dawn on Thursday, November 20, 2025, in Saveh Central Prison. According to informed sources, Sheikhi had been arrested and later sentenced to death on the charge of “premeditated murder.”

Sattari, a Turkish prisoner who had been sentenced to death on a murder charge, was executed on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Ardabil Central Prison.

On the same day, Bastami was executed in Quchan Prison in Razavi Khorasan Province. Sources stated that he had been arrested several years earlier on “drug-related” charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

That same day, Khani, a Lor prisoner previously convicted of murder, was executed in Yasuj Central Prison.

Tahmasbi, an Arab prisoner, was executed at dawn on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Mahshahr Prison in Khuzestan Province. He had been arrested on a charge of “premeditated murder” and later sentenced to death.

Ghadimi, 33, from Karaj, was executed in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison at dawn on Saturday, October 4, 2025. He had been detained for four years on “drug-related” charges before receiving a death sentence.

State media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, have not reported these executions.
