Hengaw – Saturday, November 8, 2025

A 30-year-old woman, Mobina Zareh, was murdered by her former fiancé in Eslamshahr, Tehran Province, before her body was burned in an aluminum furnace. Her remains were discovered ten days after she disappeared.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mojtaba, Zareh’s former fiancé, killed her inside her father’s workshop in Eslamshahr on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Her remains were found ten days later in a garden belonging to the perpetrator’s family in Robat Karim, where the body was severely burned and unrecognizable.

Sources told Hengaw that Zareh had ended her engagement about eight months earlier due to her fiancé’s violent behavior. The breakup is believed to have been the main motive behind the killing.

According to the investigation, on October 23, 2025, the suspect contacted Zareh and asked to meet her “one last time” before “leaving Iran for Turkey.” After the meeting, he murdered her and fled to Turkey using a plane ticket purchased in advance.

Members of the suspect’s family, who were later arrested for aiding his escape, confessed to their involvement ten days after Zareh’s disappearance.

Zareh’s body was identified by the Forensic Medicine Organization and was laid to rest on November 6, 2025, at the Eslamshahr Cemetery.
