Three Kurdish men arrested by intelligence forces in Mahabad and Naqadeh

In the latest wave of arrests targeting Kurds, Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has detained three men — Saman Ghorbani from Mahabad and Mahmoud Khodadadi and Hemin Rahimi from Naqadeh — and transferred them to undisclosed locations.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ghorbani, 29, from Yaltamer village near Mahabad, was arrested on 10 December 2025 during a violent raid on his home.

Earlier, on 7 December 2025, Khodadadi and Rahimi were arrested with the use of force at their workplace in the Naqadeh bazaar.

Hengaw has learned that intelligence agents later raided and thoroughly searched the homes of all three detainees following their arrests.

No reliable information has been made available regarding the reasons for their arrests, the charges they may be facing, or their current whereabouts.
