Hengaw – Tuesday, February 10, 2026

Three relatives of Javad Heydari — two siblings and their mother — have been arrested by Iranian government forces in Tehran and Qazvin, and no information has been released about their whereabouts or legal status.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Zahra Irandoust, 27, and Mohammadreza Irandoust, 23 — the niece and nephew of Javad Heydari, who was killed during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement — were arrested on January 25, 2026, during coordinated operations carried out by government forces.

Zahra Irandoust was detained during a raid on her home in Tehran and was later transferred on February 4 to Choobindar Prison in Qazvin. Mohammadreza Irandoust was arrested by government forces in Qazvin. Reports indicate that he is suffering from an eye injury.

According to informed sources, authorities only notified the siblings’ mother by telephone that her children had been detained by intelligence forces and warned her not to pursue follow-up inquiries regarding their cases.

Their mother, Masoumeh Heydari, was herself arrested on February 9, 2026, while attempting to follow up on her children’s situation at Choobindar Prison in Qazvin. She was detained by intelligence agents on the order of a prosecutor and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Javad Heydari, a 40-year-old resident of Qazvin and brother of Masoumeh Heydari, was shot and killed by government forces on September 22, 2022, during the Woman, Life, Freedom protests.

No reliable information is available regarding the fate, place of detention, or charges against the three detained family members.
