Three members of one family arrested by government forces in Tehran

Yaser Azadeh, his wife Homa Taimuri, and his mother Rouhangiz Imani have been arrested by Iranian government forces in Tehran.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the three were detained during a raid on their home in Tehran carried out by government forces on January 25, 2026. They have now been held for 21 days without any clear information regarding their place of detention or condition.

Yaser Azadeh, 43, holds a master’s degree. His wife, Homa Taimuri, is also a master’s graduate of Tarbiat Modares University. His mother, Rouhangiz Imani, 68, suffers from a chronic illness and poor physical health, raising serious concerns about her ability to endure prolonged detention.

No official details have been provided regarding the reasons for their arrest, the charges filed against them, or where they are being held.
