Former political prisoner Yashar Darolshafa arrested following home raid in Tehran

Iranian security forces have rearrested Yashar Darolshafa, a former political prisoner and civil rights activist residing in Tehran.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces raided Darolshafa’s home in the early hours of Monday, June 1, 2026, and arrested him without presenting a warrant. He was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

Informed sources told Hengaw that the agents searched the activist’s home during the operation, creating an atmosphere of intimidation and fear. They also confiscated several of his personal belongings and electronic devices.
