Ramin Mohammadi held incommunicado following arrest by Intelligence Department

Iranian Intelligence Department forces arrested Ramin Mohammadi, a 32-year-old Kurdish man from Kamyaran, three days ago and transferred him to an undisclosed location, where he has since been held incommunicado.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammadi, from the village of Alak in Kamyaran County, was arrested on Monday, July 20, 2026, and taken to an undisclosed location.

Informed sources told Hengaw that his family's efforts to obtain information about his whereabouts and condition have so far been unsuccessful.

Mohammadi was previously arrested in Kamyaran on November 10, 2025, after Intelligence Ministry forces subjected him to severe violence and beatings. He was then transferred to one of the ministry's detention facilities in Sanandaj.

He had also been detained by the Intelligence Ministry on an earlier occasion and was later released on bail of 2 billion tomans pending the conclusion of judicial proceedings.

Mohammadi was previously a member of the Komala Party while living in the Kurdistan Region and returned to his hometown after leaving the party.

The reasons for his arrest, any charges against him, his place of detention, and his current condition remain unknown.
