Mustafa Ebrahimi and Saber Enayati arrested in Mahabad

Iranian security forces have arrested two Kurdish residents of Mahabad, Mustafa Ebrahimi and Saber Enayati, as the wave of arrests across Kurdistan continues. The authorities have not disclosed their whereabouts, the reasons for their detention, or any charges against them.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization raided the family home of Mustafa Ebrahimi, a 40-year-old Kurdish resident of Mahabad, on the evening of Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and arrested him without presenting an arrest warrant.
In a separate incident, IRGC Intelligence forces arrested Saber Enayati, a 35-year-old Kurdish resident of Mahabad, on Monday, July 6, 2026.
The whereabouts of Ebrahimi and Enayati remain unknown. Judicial and security authorities in Mahabad have refused to provide their families with any clear information regarding their place of detention, the reasons for their arrests, or any charges brought against them.
