Mehran Ebrahimzadeh arrested in Mahabad, whereabouts unknown

Intelligence Department forces arrested Mehran Ebrahimzadeh, a 31-year-old Kurdish man from Mahabad, during a raid on his workplace. Four days after his arrest, his whereabouts remain unknown.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ebrahimzadeh was arrested on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, without a warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Hengaw has learned that the forces raided the automotive oil-change shop where he worked and used violence while taking him into custody.
Four days later, the authorities have provided no information about the reason for his detention, any charges against him, or his place of detention. His family’s efforts to obtain information about his whereabouts have so far been unsuccessful.
