Only in the past four weeks, 23 Kolbars have been killed or wounded
Hangaw: The statistics show 12 Kolbars have been killed and 11 kolbars have been wounded only in the past four weeks.
Four Kolbars lost their lives due to an avalanche, four kolbars were shot dead by the Iranian security forces, three kolbars died due to falling from mountain and a kolbar lost his life due to drowning.
Four Kolbars were from Khoi, two from Sardasht, two from Baneh and the others were from Saqez, Sawlawa (Salawatabad), Salmas and Kamiyaran.
During this period, 11 Kolbars have been wounded, 10 of them were shot by the Iranian security forces and a Kolbar got frostbite.
They were from Sardasht, Salas Bawajani, Mehabad, Sawlawa and Baneh. Furthermore, 33 horses of the Kolbars have been killed by the Iranian security forces and there are 3 cases of set fire to the goods of Kolbars during the past four weeks.
Kolbars are the people that carry goods on their backs to make a living.
According to the Iran’s laws, carrying goods in the borders without getting the formal permission is forbidden, but at the same time shooting at a Kolbar only because of a style crime is not allowed.
Rojhalat (eastern, Iranian) Kurdistan is witness to killing the Kolbars by the Iranian security forces every day.
