Baneh border – Kolbar wounded by direct fire from Iranian border forces

Rahim Ahmadi, a 37-year-old kolbar from Baneh and father of two, was wounded after Iranian border regiment forces opened fire without warning at the “Zali” border crossing near the city.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on Saturday, August 9, 2025, when Ahmadi was transporting goods across the border. Forces stationed at the “Zali” crossing targeted him with direct gunfire, striking him in the leg.
Ahmadi sustained severe injuries and was transferred to Baneh Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
