Kurdish Kolbar Khaled Ahmadian in critical condition after Border Guard shooting in Baneh

Khaled Ahmadian, a kolbar from Baneh, was critically injured after being shot by direct fire from the Border Guard forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was transferred to a hospital in critical condition.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ahmadian, 45, from the village of Sewch in the Baneh region, was wounded by Border Guard gunfire on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Sources familiar with the incident reported that he was shot in the pelvic area while in the Hengejal border highlands of Baneh. He was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Tabriz with severe injuries.

His condition remains unstable due to the severity of his injuries, and he has already undergone surgery.
