A Kurdish artist was arrested in accusation of singing about Kurdistan and Peshmerga

Hengaw: After singing a song titled “Vive Kurdistan”, A Kurdish artist from the North Khorasan was arrested by the Iranian Intelligence Service. According to Hengawthe Iranian security forces raided a house of a Kurdish singer Mahdi Pakmehr in Bojnord, the capital of North Khorasan Province three weeks ago. Based a reliable source, Mehdi has been detained in the Detention Center of the Bojnord’s Intelligence Service without having the right to meet his family. The Iranian Intelligence Service has arrested him in charge of singing about Kurdistan, Peshmerga and the Kurdistan’s flag. Around 2 million Kurds live in the northeast of Iran in two provinces Khorasan Razawi and North Khorasan. Their ancestors were transferred there almost 4 centuries ago.
