Kurdish Citizen Arrested in Zahedan

Hengaw: A Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah has been arrested in Zahedan, Sistan Balouchestan Province, with his fate remaining unknown up to the moment.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, September 9, 2020, Zahedan Ettelaat forces ( Iranian Intelligence Forces) arrested a Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah named Hesam Abdollahi, an adherent of Sunni sect of Islam.

An informed source revealed that Hesam Abdollahi called his family one day after being arrested. He told them about being detained in Ettelaat detention center in Zahedan.

The source also said that Hesam Abdollahi is a religious student in Zahedan seminary. The security forces arrested him claiming he had committed "action against national security".
