Mamosta Mohammad Sharifi, a Kurdish cleric hailing from the city of Bukan, has been apprehended by government forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran through the use of excessive force.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights, on Sunday, August 27, 2023, Mamosta Mohammad Sharifi, a 37-year-old citizen hailing from Bukan, was apprehended by Iranian government forces.
 

According to Hengaw sources, government forces launched a violent attack on the residence of the Kurdish cleric. They forcefully entered the premises by breaking doors and windows, and after conducting a thorough house search, they proceeded to arrest him.
 

Hengaw has been apprised of the Iranian government forces' action in confiscating the personal belongings of Mamosta Mohammad Sharifi and his wife's laptop and mobile phone. Additionally, they seized the closed-circuit camera from his residence, along with his collection of books.
