Four residents of Bukan—Halal Amini, Hossein Ahmadi, Kazem MamEsmaile, and Younes Mahmoudzadeh—have been taken into custody and transported to Bukan's central prison to commence serving their respective sentences.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, these individuals were summoned by the execution branch of the Bukan court. Subsequently, they were apprehended and transported to the city's prison. Jalal Amini and Younes Mahmoudzadeh were sentenced to 30 months of detention, Hossein Ahmadi to 27 months, and Kazem Mam Esmaile to 9 months.
Prior to these sentences, Hossein Ahmadi had initially received a three-year penal detention, Jalal Amini and Younes Mahmoudzadeh three years and eight months each, and Kazem Mam Esmaile one year. These convictions, under the charge of "collaboration with the Free Life Party of Kurdistan" by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court in Bukan, were later reduced during retrials.
Jalal Amini was taken into custody by the intelligence department forces on August 15, 2022, upon returning home. On August 27, 2022, he was transferred from the detention center of Intelligence department to Bukan's central prison, later released on bail pending the trial's conclusion on September 4, 2022.
Younes Mahmoudzadeh, Hossein Ahmadi, and Kazem MamEsmaile were also apprehended by security forces on August 29, 2022. After two weeks of imprisonment, they were temporarily released until the conclusion of their trials.
