Three Kurdish citizens were executed in the Urmia central prison

Hengaw: Three Kurdish citizens were executed on charges of murder in the Urmia central prison.

On the morning of Monday, March 11, the death verdict for three Kurdish citizens was enforced in the ”Darya Prison of Urmia”.

The three citizens were arrested for murder and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

The identity of these three citizens is as follows;
1. Naji Omarzadeh son of Omar from Somay-Bradost in Urmia.
2. Hussein Rahimi, son of Habib from Bukan.
3. Khalil Salehi son of Hassan from Urmia.

These three citizens were detained for about 10 years in the Urmia central prison.

According to Hengaw, more than 25% of all executions in Iran in 2018 were Kurdish citizens. At least 273 people were executed in Iran in 2018, 70 of whom were Kurdish citizens.
