Hengaw : One of the Kurdish activists arrested in January by Iranian security forces in Tehran has been released on bail after 40 days in detention.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, February 18, 2021, Asrin Mohammadi, a civil activist from Sanandaj, was released from Urmia Central Prison after 40 days in detention on bail pending trial.

This Kurdish activist was transferred from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center to the city's central prison on Tuesday, January 16, 2020.

Asrin Mohammadi, a graduate of architecture, was arrested by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards intelligence forces in Tehran on Saturday, January 9, 2021, and has been denied access to a lawyer for the past 40 days.
