After spending a day in the hospital, 16-year-old Piranshahr resident Komar Daruftade, who had been gravely wounded by IRI repression forces' direct fire during this city's uprisings, died last night.

According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Komar died on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in the Khomeini Hospital due to the seriousness of the wounds the bullet from the regime's forces had inflicted on him. In the evening of the same day, his body was given to his family.

Hengaw sources report that regime forces shot Komar from a distance of three meters on the evening of Saturday, October 29, close to Oraz Square in Piranshahr City, critically injuring him.

One of the witnesses told Hengaw, "There were no protests at the scene, and security forces from the two cars shot at Komar from a distance of 3 meters after stopping, and he was gravely injured." This source further said that two other teenagers were with Komar that day. One of them was abducted by government forces, and his fate is unknown.

The funeral for Komar is scheduled for today in Ziukeh Village, Piranshahr.

Hengaw sources report that at least one additional civilian was killed by repressive force direct fire during the Piranshahr uprisings on Saturday evening.
