PJAK announces the identity of two of its members assassinated in Iraqi Kurdistan region

Hengaw : Two members of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) have been assassinated in one of the border cities of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region by individuals whom the party has claimed  as agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a statement issued by the joint chairman of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) on Sunday, March 28, 2021, two members of their party, Ako Fathi from Kamyaran and Mehdi Rezaei from Kermanshah in Penjwin  district functions Sulaimaniyah  province in the Iraqi Kurdistan region have been assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the statement, the two PJAK members went to Shiler region of  Penjwin on Thursday, February 4, 2021, on purpose of party activities and organizing party members, and were brutally murdered by two government officials.

After two decades of pause in  assassination of Kurdish political activists in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, several Iranian Kurdish  citizens have been assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the cities of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region in the past few years, at least 10 of whom were members of PJAK and the Democratic Party.
