Hengaw: A young soldier who was severely injured by a landmine blast on the border areas of Baneh district, Kurdistan Province yesterday lost his life.

According to a report received by the Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Tuesday, June 22, 2021, a soldier from the city of Tuyserkan district of Hamadan province, Iran identified as 21-year-old Abbas Khazaei, was seriously injured in a landmine blast on Border of Baneh lost his life in Salahuddin Ayoubi Hospital.

According to the Hengaw’s correspondent, the soldier found a mine near the base of the Denis Border point in Baneh yesterday, and while transporting the mine to the base, the mine exploded in his hands and severely injured his hands, head, and face.

Hengaw reported yesterday that Abbas Khazaei had undergone surgery and was in critical condition.
