Kurdish Kolbar dies of hypothermia on the Baneh Border

A trader from Baneh, identified as Edris Nadri, tragically lost his life due to hypothermia in the mountainous border region of the county.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mr. Nadri, a resident of the village of Qol Ester in Baneh, died early on Saturday, December 28, 2024, after being exposed to extreme cold weather.

Sources reported that the incident occurred in the Haft Tash mountain range on the Baneh border. Mr. Nadri had traveled to the area the previous night to transport livestock and was unable to survive the severe weather conditions.

His body was recovered by local rescue teams and transferred to the morgue at Salah Aldin Hospital in Baneh.
