Update: Security forces in Rudbar-e Jonubi kill, arrest, and injure four individuals

In a violent incident involving the direct shooting by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Rudbar-e Jonubi, Kerman Province, a Baloch man named Saeed Ahmadi was killed, and a middle-aged woman was injured. Additionally, two individuals identified as Hamid Bamari and Ayub Koochomi were arrested.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Saeed Ahmadi, 24 years old, a father of one from Abbasabad village in Rudbar- Jonubi, was fatally shot by intelligence officers.
Hengaw previously reported that plainclothes officers in private vehicles opened fire on Saeed Ahmadi’s home in this village, leading to his death after being struck by multiple live bullets.
Simultaneously, two other individuals present in Saeed Ahmadi’s home, identified as Hamid Bamari and Ayub Koochomi, who are his brother-in-law and sister’s husband, respectively, were severely beaten and arrested. They have since been taken to an undisclosed location, and no information regarding their whereabouts has been made available after three days.
Additionally, during the shooting, Saeed Ahmadi’s stepmother, who was inside the house, was struck by a bullet in her leg and injured. Her identity has not yet been confirmed.
It has been reported that Saeed Ahmadi had previously lived in Pakistan and was involved in a political case. He had returned to his home in Iran to celebrate the birth of his child.
