Benyamin Kordtamini and his father, Abdolhamid Kordtamini, have remained in detention for 26 days after being arrested by Iranian security forces. They are being held in Jiroft Central Prison without being formally charged or informed of the reasons for their detention.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the 42-year-old father and his 19-year-old son, both from Mirjaveh, were arrested by Iranian security forces in Jiroft on June 3, 2026, without the presentation of a warrant.

Repeated efforts by the family to obtain information about their condition, whereabouts, and legal status have so far been unsuccessful.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrests, any charges against them, or further information regarding their cases. They remain in detention at Jiroft Central Prison in a state of legal limbo.
