Despite nearly a month since the arrest of Bayan Farajollahi, a female activist from Sanandaj(Sine), by government forces, no information regarding her status has been made available thus far.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, Bayan Farajollahi, a 38-year-old female activist from Sanandaj, has been detained by Iranian authorities for 28 days, and her custodial status remains uncertain, with family efforts to ascertain her whereabouts left unanswered.
 

A source close to Farajollahi's family stated that throughout her period of detention, she has been deprived of basic rights, including visitation and access to legal representation.
 

On the evening of Monday the 17th of July, 2023, Bayan Farajollahi was arrested by a number of government forces without the provision of any legal documentation at her residence and was transferred to an undisclosed location.
