Two Kurdish Kolbars Injured by Iranian Border Forces' Fire in Kurdistan Border Incident

Two Kolbars, Mehdi Sharifi from Saqqez and Suleiman Amini from Baneh

Two Kolbars, Mehdi Sharifi from Saqqez and Suleiman Amini from Baneh, both cities in the Sanandaj province, sustained serious injuries due to direct fire from Iranian border regiment forces while at the border of Baneh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the border of Hengezhall in Baneh city, Iranian border regiment forces fired at a group of Kolbars, resulting in injuries to at least two individuals. Mehdi Sharifi, 23 years old, from Saqqez, and Suleiman Amini, 28 years old, from Baneh, were among those seriously injured.

Both Kolbars have been transferred to medical centers in Baneh city for treatment, with Suleiman Amini’s physical condition reported to be critical.

It’s worth noting that Suleiman Amini had previously been wounded by border regiment forces’ firing on the same border on November 17 of last year.
